About the DeGroote School of Business
The DeGroote
School of Business has earned a strong reputation as a centre
for academic excellence and innovation. An integral part of our
innovative culture is our focus on experiential learning that
enables students to gain hands-on experience through Co-op work
terms, internships and assignments that stimulate learning, and lead
to personal development and discovery and enhance their ability to
function effectively very quickly after moving into their career
paths.
As a pioneer in the creation of the Co-op MBA model of learning, the
DeGroote School of Business is the premier Co-op MBA School in
Canada. We also offer full-time and part-time MBA options that meet
the complex needs and learning styles of the leaders of tomorrow.
The same high standards that have built our reputation as The Co-op
MBA School also apply to our undergraduate internships. As a leader
in creating the first formal Commerce Internship Program, McMaster
University remains the largest in the country.
About PMAC
The Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC) is the
leading professional association in Canada for supply chain
management professionals.
With more than 40,000 members and program participants working in
all sectors of the Canadian economy, PMAC is the principal source of
training, education and professional development for supply chain
management professionals in Canada.
Education and member development programs are delivered through the
Provincial and Territorial Institutes, supported by the PMAC
National office. The highest achievement in professional supply
chain management education in Canada is the Certified
Professional Purchaser (C.P.P.) designation.
Among its academic contributions, PMAC sponsors a
Purchasing Management Association of Canada Chair at the
Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western
Ontario and a similar Chair at École des Hautes Études
Commerciales de Montréal, affiliated with Université de
Montréal.

About MeRC
In 2000, McMaster
University established the
McMaster eBusiness Research Centre (MeRC) within the DeGroote
School of Business to provide leadership and infrastructure support
for innovative eBusiness research to academic and industry partners.
Housed in the new AIC Wing of the DeGroote School of Business in
Hamilton, Ontario, MeRC has administrative and researcher offices,
usability labs, research and teaching labs, decision centres, and a
PhD centre for eBusiness research.
MeRC research groups have developed expertise in areas of mobile
commerce, eHealth, portals, identity theft, online negotiation,
supply chain management, interface design, online trust and privacy,
eLearning, knowledge management, and change management, among
others.
MeRC's administrative and research activities are supported by the
DeGroote School of Business and McMaster University in conjunction
with corporate partners, MeRC memberships and donations, and
government grants, such as the Ontario Research Network for
Electronic Commerce (ORNEC).

About MITL
The McMaster Institute for
Transportation and Logistics (MITL) is an interdisciplinary
research organization with the mandate to become a world-class
institute for applied research in transportation and logistics that
will provide a resource to industry and government and will foster
economic growth.
The Institute works with industrial and government partners to
identify pertinent issues and address research problems related to
the efficient operation of transportation and logistics systems. It
supports the development of transport and logistics educational
programs relevant to industry and government and provides channels
of communication which promote interaction among all members
ensuring outcomes that maximize collective benefits for industry and
society as a whole.
MITL also addresses issues of environmental concern. Climate change
and environmental emissions are intertwined with economic prosperity
and the institute provides a forum for discussion and contributes to
informed decision-making on transportation issues.
